Paul Darby, MD, PhD, MPH, FACOEM, FIAIME, CMLE
Dr. Paul Darby is Board Certified in Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
Dr. Darby received his chemical training at Furman University (BS) and the University of Georgia (PhD), his medical training at Georgetown University School of Medicine (MD), and his public health training at the University of Washington (MPH). He completed a clinical internship at Madigan Army Medical Center. He served as a U.S. Army Emergency Department physician in Germany and as a Family Medicine and Medical Evaluation Board physician in North Carolina. He transferred into reserve military service, completed residency training, and has practiced occupational medicine and clinical toxicology in Tacoma since 2002. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Dr. Darby served for many years as a Senior FAA Aviation Medical Examiner, a Certified Medical Review Officer for drug testing, and a DOT Certified Medical Examiner. He continues to serve as an Approved Medical Examiner for Washington Labor & Industries. He is a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and a Fellow of the International Academy of Independent Medical Evaluators. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences (School of Public Health), University of Washington.
