Professional Experience

Dr. Masci moved to Port Townsend, Washington, in 1975 to establish his chiropractic practice. Over his career, he developed a conservative approach to patient care, emphasizing scientific principles, improved function, a prompt return to work, and reduced medical intervention while avoiding patient dependence.

In 2007, he became an above-knee amputee and began using a prosthesis. This experience deepened his understanding of impairment and disability and continues to inform his work with patients and consultees.

Medicolegal Approach

Dr. Masci’s role as an expert examiner is to seek and report the truth. He develops an understanding of each individual’s medical condition and mechanism of injury by reviewing medical records from before and after the injury.

He applies causation science principles, addresses the questions presented, and, when available, cites current evidence-based literature to support his conclusions.
